Murray Phillips

Dr. Murray Phillips teaches the history of sport in the School of Human Movement Studies at the University of Queensland in Australia. He has written on the historical aspects of sport as it relates to commodification, digital history, gender, film, museums, race and war, as well as the ontological, epistemological and methodological aspects of sport history. His recent books include Deconstructing Sport History: A Postmodern Analysis (2006), Swimming Australia (2009) and Representing the Sporting Past in Museum and Halls of Fame (2012).
