Course Adoption Program
FiT is a leading publisher of books and journals in sport and exercise psychology, sport management, sport sociology, coaching and physical education. Our extensive line of textbooks in the physical activity and sport sciences disciplines have been adopted for use in classrooms throughout the world. Suggested uses, a table of contents, and an excerpt are available for each requested textbook. Instructors may review designated textbooks for course adoption for a 60 day period.
Requests must be from approved titles in our adoption program for course adoption consideration only. Professional reference and trade books may not be available under our program. We reserve the right to refuse any exam copy request. If you would like to use one of our textbooks as part of a suggested reading list for students, or as a partial resource for your curriculum, your department or library may supply a purchase order number to obtain copies of the book.
Examination copies of adopted textbooks are yours to keep once we receive your institutional purchase order. Exam copies not adopted must be returned within 70 days of receipt.
Many of our textbooks, trade books, academic journals, directories, and sport psychology test manuals are available in both hard copy and electronic formats. Contact us about integrating our eBooks with your online courses. Customized hosting options may be available for institutions that adopt FiT eBooks.
Adoption or Return
After your 60 day examination period you may:
1. Purchase the exam copy of the book with a departmental purchase order number, credit card, or check, at the regular purchase price plus shipping, or
2. Return the new condition book(s) to FiT Publishing within 70 days of receipt.
If you are teaching outside the U.S. or Canada, please contact the FiT International Distributor in or nearest your country. The exam copy policy will vary by distributor.
FiT teaching tools are designed to enhance the classroom experience. For many of our textbooks we offer a variety of teaching tools, including PowerPoint slides, test banks, teaching notes, key terms, as well as photos, tables, and figures from the book. Some books may provide links to additional resources.
If you have adopted one of our textbooks, a form will accompany the book to allow you access to teaching tools. A FiT representative will contact you by email within two business days (Mon - Fri) with instructions for accessing your files.
If you do not see the book you've adopted for your class, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
